Project Websites
Create, switch, and manage the websites in your project.
Project Websites gives you one place to move between websites in the same project and, if you have admin access, create, duplicate, save as templates, set inactive, or delete them.
Who can use it
- Everyone with website access can open the website switcher and move between the websites they can access.
- Project owners and project admins can use website management actions such as creating websites, changing active status, saving templates, duplicating websites, and deleting websites.
- Staff can still open the list and switch websites, but admin-only actions are disabled.
Open the website switcher
- Open the user menu from the top-right corner of the website workspace.
- Select Websites.
- Choose a website name to switch immediately, or select Manage Websites to open the full manager.
Tips:
- The current website is labeled Current.
- The list only shows websites you can access.
- You can also switch websites by selecting a row inside Manage Websites.
Create a new website
- Open the user menu, then go to Websites → Manage Websites.
- Select Create New Website.
- Enter a Website name.
- Select Create Website.
- Hiveality opens the new website so you can start setup right away.
Notes:
- If another website in the same project already uses that name, Hiveality creates a numbered version such as Acme Clinic 2.
- After switching into the new website, use Website Pages to build pages and Site Settings to update the website name, logo, favicon, and social share image.
Website actions
Inside Manage Websites, each website row includes these actions:
- Make inactive / Make active: Use the power button to change website status. Inactive websites are labeled Inactive and can be activated again from the same place.
- Save as template: Save the website as a reusable website template. Pages and global website styles are included automatically, and you can optionally include funnels and flows.
- Duplicate: Create a full copy of the website inside the same project. The duplicate gets its own name and slug so you can work on it separately.
- Delete: Soft-delete the website after confirming the prompt. The product describes this as something that can be restored later if needed.
Save a website as a template
- Open Websites → Manage Websites.
- Select the Save as template button for the website you want to reuse.
- Enter a Template name and optional Description.
- Choose the available Save scope.
- Decide whether to include Funnels and Flows.
- Select Save template.
The saved template is then available in Manage Templates for the scope you selected.
Manage website templates
- Open Websites → Manage Websites.
- Select Manage Templates.
- Use Search templates to find a saved template, or turn on Show deleted to review deleted items.
- Select View on a template card to open its preview.
- If you can manage that template, use Edit to update the name or description, or Delete to remove it from the library.
In the template preview, you can:
- Review the saved thumbnail.
- Switch to Rendered preview to see the template as a website layout.
- Toggle Template or Current website styles in the rendered preview.
- Turn Header and Footer on or off while previewing.
Edit a website after switching to it
Website management helps you get into the right site. Once you are inside that website, use the website workspace to make changes:
- Use Creating Pages to create or organize pages.
- Use Editing Pages to update layout and content.
- Use Site Settings to update site branding and core website details.
- Use Project Team if you need to change who can access specific websites.
