AllDesignWidgetsText Widget

Text Widget

Add rich text paragraphs, lists, inline links, and paste controls.

The Text widget is best for paragraphs, callouts, and list content. It uses the same rich text editor as the Heading widget.

Add a Text widget

1

Open the widget picker

In the page editor, open Widgets.

2

Drag Text

In Common, drag Text (text icon) onto the page.

3

Edit the text

Click the widget and choose Edit text or double-click to type.

Text editing toolbar

Use the toolbar to format content:

  • Styles: switch between paragraph, heading, small text, and quote styles.
  • Font Family, Font Size, Line Height.
  • Text Color and Highlight Color.
  • Bold, Italic, Underline, Text Decoration.
  • Bullet List and Numbered List.
  • Text Alignment, Add Link, Paste Options, Clear Formatting.
  • Ask AI: choose Create, Improve, Shorten, Lengthen, or Custom prompt....

Paste options

Use Paste Options when you need one-time control over formatting.

  • Paste to match current style: pastes as plain text styled by the current block.
  • Paste with basic formatting on next paste: keeps structure, links, bold, and italic.
  • Keep source formatting on next paste: keeps source styling for the next paste only, then resets.

Toolbar actions

When the widget is selected (not editing), use:

  • Edit text
  • Alignment
  • Animation
  • Position
  • Copy
  • Delete

Tips

  • Use Styles to quickly turn a paragraph into a subheading, small-text note, or quote.
  • Use Add Link for inline links to pages, popups, or files.
  • Validate readability and line-length across breakpoints using Responsive Design.
